Tima works with organizations to develop, coordinate, and deliver child protection and social welfare programs that meet the needs of children and youth. Her field experience includes working on providing focused psycho-social support in adverse areas and essential non-formal education in marginalized communities. ​ Being the youngest Arab to summit Mount Everest, Tima is uniquely positioned to connect with children and youth and create life changing impact on their lives. She strives to ensure the right for protection, education, healthcare, social inclusion, and personal well-being of every child. Through this work, Timais helping contribute to the vital process of finding solutions for children to have the right to grow up in a safe and inclusive environment.

Tima is an athlete but she’s a woman first. Through her experience as an Arab woman and her interaction with women across the world, she has seen firsthand how empowering women and girls helps communities grow and develop. Tima works directly with women to advance their technical and leadership skills so they can ultimately support themselves and their communities. She advocates for increasing women’s rights and participation in decision-making at the social, economic and political levels. ​ Ending all discrimination against women and girls is not only a basic human right, it’s crucial for sustainable future. Tima believes it’s our collective responsibility to empower women who want to develop themselves, confront issues, and pull up others as they go. Today there are more women in leadership roles than ever before – let’s keep increasing that number.

Tima has a deep connection to nature, and through her expeditions she gets to visit wild and delicate environments, giving her a unique firsthand view of the impacts of our changing climate. Her ethos is inseparably linked to flourishing mountain environments and ecosystems and she believes in doing everything we can to sustain and preserve our awe-inspiring planet so that everyone has the opportunity to experience the joy of the outdoors. ​ That’s why Tima advocates for climate action and partners with organizations that protect our most treasured places and foster a love for nature in future generations. Through her adventures and campaigns, she mobilizes communities to raise awareness and take action on key environmental topics such as wildlife protection, land conservation, and natural resources preservation.
